Essay Topic Ideas For College Athletes Accepting MoneyWhile writing an essay, colleges are always looking for writing samples which can showcase your high-end writing skills. Some schools also expect you to submit a letter of recommendation with your essay topics. Most college sports programs require their players to submit a letter of recommendation for the best possible sports scholarship. It is especially crucial for prospective athletes to know what to include in their letters of recommendation. The Sports Coaches Association of America (SCAA) is an organization which protects its members in matters pertaining to getting a sports scholarship. This organization follows this principle: 'If the letter contains detailed information about the school and how the athlete has benefited from the program, then the letter will most likely be approved.' Also, the SCAA recommends not to use any sports specific words. The NCAA has a set of guidelines that must be followed when an athlete's letter of recommendation is submitted. These guidelines state that the writer should write a 'personal' letter of recommendation. They should not include any facts which relate to any program. However, the letter of recommendation should contain some relevant facts about the student and why they feel they would fit in at the university. The letter of recommendation does not need to contain all the information about the athlete. It would not matter if it was about a highly competitive athlete like a basketball player, a golfer or a soccer player, if there is any information about the schools that they have played or the academic program they have attended, then that is enough to make the athletic department, athletic director or other campus officials take note of that fact. The athlete's letter of recommendation would contain the following things:o Name, address, phone number, etc. o Academic program. What they have been doing. The writer should only provide a personal review about the stude nt, who has been so exemplary in his or her academic endeavors that it makes up for the financial value. The writer would not include anything about the athletic program itself, even if it is a well-known and successful one.
